My Personal Story

On a personal note, at the time of this writing, my wife and I have been married for 10 years. We have two awesome kids, Allison and Michael, who are my delight.

The three main Desktop operating systems I use every day are Windows, MacOS and Linux. Yes, I’m guilty of being an “Apple fan-boy”, as I am steeped in the Apple ecosystem, (even though most of the articles that I write are geared towards Windows users).

My friends find it weird that I frequently format my PC, and reset my Mac, iPad or iPhone every couple of months. Not because I need to, I just find it fun to reset and install everything all over again, I learn something new every time. The geek in me finds it fun.

I find fulfillment in helping others, which is why I served as a Computer Customer Service representative for several years. I have been able to take what I enjoy doing and use that skill set to help others through whatever computer related issues they may be experiencing.

My Work Story

At first, I started building websites for people and found that I liked playing in code and getting things to function better than I liked making sites look pretty. Fortunately, today one doesn’t have to hold a master’s degree in Photoshop in order to deliver very functional and yet aesthetically pleasing website, though it does help.

When I first started building websites, I used Macromedia Dreamweaver, (eventually bought out by Adobe). For several years, I used Joomla to build content management systems, and eventually started using WordPress given how easy it was to build sites and hand them off to clients. I then found myself using DIVI to build sites on the WordPress platform because it allowed you to pretty much build anything you wanted.

From there, I worked several contractual jobs over the years as a Customer Support representative, helping people resolve computer related issues over the phone, by e-mail, and in person.

Again, this is where I found joy and personal fulfillment. I love helping other people. That may sound corny, but that’s who I am.

I have been able to take what I enjoy doing, (tinkering with computers), and use that skill set to help others through whatever computer related problems they may be experiencing.

My hope is that you will find the articles I have written helpful enough so that you will share your knowledge with others, or direct them to this website to find a solution for any computer related issue issues that they may have.
